The Digital Architecture and Prototype Systems Development Lab (DAPSD Lab) is a research laboratory in the Department of Architecture at the University of Cyprus. The laboratory aims to explore digital strategies in the design and construction of complex, non-standard, three-dimensional architectural and construction systems. Specifically, it focuses on the development of integrative computational design and fabrication mechanisms introduced in architectural research towards exploration and optimisation of design solutions based on human behavioural, structural, environmental and morphological design criteria. Research work developed within this framework has been presented in conferences and has been published in scientific journals. The DAPSD Lab Director is Dr. Odysseas Kontovourkis, Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, UCY, and the research team includes George Tryfonos and Panagiota Konatzii, both PhD Candidates in Architecture.
