With around 100500 km of overhead lines, 300000 towers, 4300 km of underground cables, 2700 power substations, RTE manages and controls the largest European electricity transmission network.

Maintenance addresses many issues. It is a job in constant evolution to adapt to customer demand and new challenges.

In connection with our research and development teams (R & D), we integrate the latest techniques and technology to optimize operations and reduce their impact on the availability of our infrastructure. We experience, for example, the use of robots and drones to improve inspection operations. Objective: To substitute human intervention on potentially difficult areas. Tomorrow, these new means of observation and measurement will help us to collect data to maximize the life of our works.
