Team Profile:

Prof. Paulus leads the active vision research group of the university of Koblenz-Landau. His research interests include active vision, computer vision, interpretation and fusion of sensor data, as well as robotics.

The participating team consists of Bachelor and Master students. The team will work on the challenges in the course of a practical robotics course offered at the University of Koblenz-Landau. The main goal of this course is to deepen the theoretical knowledge gained in severed robotics and computer vision lectures by solving practical and scientifically relevant tasks.

The team of Bachelor and Master students is supervised by Prof. Paulus and 2 PhD students. The Active Vision Group has gained lots of experience in robotics from industrial project and from participations in the RoboCup Rescue and RoboCup@Home competitions, where its teams resko@UniKoblenz and homer@UniKoblenz repeatedly achieved good results.
